plan Examples In this section some simple examples are presented
in order to illustrate what can be achieved by configurations of the various
Descartes tools. For each tool there is at least one example
that makes use of it. The best way to learn how to use the tools is to look
how they are used on these simple examples and make changes on their configurations.
The reader is welcome to make as many chamnges as he or she desires but is asked
to leave the pages untouched to preserve their purpose. The Cartesian Plane illustrates
the tools: COLORS
and SPACE. Dots illustrates the
tools: PARAMETERS and POINTS. The Straight Line illustrates:
EQUATIONS and SEGMENTS. Trigonometric Functions
illustrates: EQUATIONS
and SEGMENTS. Families of Curves illustrates:
EQUATIONS (the sequence
option) and TEXTS. Polar Coordinates illustrates:
VARIABLES and EQUATIONS (the editable option). Vectors illustrates:
CONTROLS and SEGMENTS. Euclidean Geometry illustrates
the tools: ARCS
and CONTROLS. The Derivative illustrates:
VARIABLES, FUNCTIONS and EQUATIONS. The Spiral illustrates
the tools: CURVES
and FUNCTIONS. Projectile Motion
illustrates CURVES
(the sequence option) and TEXTS. Here are some more examples which were chosen to
give ideas to the prospective user on the posible applications of Descartes. "Tyrolese". The Gaussian. The Polynomials. A Third Degree Equation
in two variables. Introduction Appetizer Examples
