Work plan Segments The use of this tool is exemplified in Vectors, The Straight Line and in Trigonometric
Functions. The configuration panel of SEGMENTS
may have as many lines as desired. Each line defines a segment and looks like this: [u,v][a,b]'S':colour=red The configuration of a segment consistes of expressions, separated from each other
by : , that define different aspects of the segment. The configuration line of a segment starts with the coordinates (in square
brakets) of two points, for example: [0,0][-3,2.5]. These
are the coordinates of the extremes of the segment and may be expressions. After
that, a chain of strings, flanked by single quotes ' , and numbers or numerical
expressions separated from each other by a + sign may come (see the documentation of TEXTS for a detailed description of
this feature). The strings and numbers will appear starting at an intermediate point in
the segment, at 1/3 of the segment length from the first extreme. Then an expression colour=red may come, defining the colour of the segment (red in
this case). The following example shows a segment S that goes
from the origin [0,0] to the point [u,v], exhibiting its length. The segment changes and it's
length is actualized when the user modifies the values of the parameters u and v.
