INTRODUCTION

This unit introduces students to the concepts of arithmetic and geometric progression. It also demonstrates how to find the terms in a progression, the general or nth term and the sum of terms.
AIMS
  • Identify arithmetic and geometric progression and their characteristics.
  • Find the general or nth term of an arithmetic or a geometric progression.
  • Form arithmetic and geometric progressions from the general or nth term.
  • Find the sum of terms of an arithmetic or geometric progression.
