This unit provides a detailed study of similarity focusing specifically on similar triangles.

The criteria governing similarity are analysed and exercises are carried out to focus in these criteria.

• To recognize and be able to construct similar triangles using any of the criteria studied in this unit.

• To understand the concept of ratio of similitude as well as know how to calculate it and apply it to solve problems with similar triangles.
