DEFINING POLYGONS
Section: Geometry

1. WHAT IS A POLYGON?
A polygon is a closed plane figure bounded by straight line segments. These segments are called sides.
A regular polygon has all its sides and all its angles equal.
1.- There are some regular polygons illustrated in this window. Do you remember their names?

2.-Would it be correct for us just to say that a regular polygon "has all its sides equal" or that it "has all its angles equal"?

Use the rotate and separate control buttons to see the polygons more clearly.
