Measurement of angles

Solution of right-angled triangles

Trigonometric functions in a right-angled triangle

The use of radians in Secondary School results in an arduous task which can be simplified if pupils interact with angles and observe the relationship between their measurement in radians and in degrees.

The versatility of Descartes alllows the putting forward, solving and checking the result of any problem in solving right-angled triangles.  The graphical solution helps to understand the algebraic operations and eases the correction of errors.

The trigonometric functions are the fundamental base of numerous mathematical and physical applications.  Their understanding means an important advance for pupils and their use is an indispensible tool in trigonometry and a good part of the analysis of the different Secondary School courses.  With this tool you can see in a palpable form the meaning of each one of the trigonometric functions and check thier properties and relationships.
