Work with quadratic functions is changed, with this environment, into an enjoyable task which allows the student to easily relate the algebraic expression with the properties of the parabola. General aspects of the functions like growth, maxima, minima and the rate of average variation are also worked on.
The general equation of the parabola is built step by step, allowing to check in each step how the variation of parameters affects the representation and characteristics of the parabola. The visualization of families of curves eases the abstraction and the understanding of the main properties of the function and its graph.
